recorded late at night in the backyard by the light of the moon and stars. mixed/edited in the cave early hours of the morning august 2010 HXDK a glorious attempt that fateful evening at letting go of the stress of earthly matters so i could, for a short time, explore space and other dimensions through murky guitar loops, intense analog synth noises and computer drones at high volumes on headphones until i dissolved into a million scattered molecules... while the rest of the neighbourhood (and... Razing Darkness - Terraform EP (2006) It's evident that we are exploring planetary territories through alien droid transmissions. Headphones are recommended if you prefer to maximize the dizzying array of stereo panning and acoustic mindfuck. This is the soundtrack that alludes to machine vs. Mother Nature. Imagine a large space craft ripping apart a desolate lunarscape to build towering monoliths of steel. This dark ambient release really foretells a future of mechanized suffering. Most of... The Derby Tape Club on BBC Radio 4 First broadcast: Monday 1 March 2004, 8.30 pm A few years ago radio producer Mark Vernon bought a hoard of old reel-to-reel audio tapes in a car boot sale in Derby, as a job lot with an elderly and very heavy tape recorder. Coaxing the old machine back to life, he realised he had rescued the jettisoned archive of the Derby Tape Club - a group of amateurs who made, played and swapped recordings in the 1960s and 70s, when domestic tape-recording was in its... first moremars team release is this is now death tv duo. A unique combination of noise and physical torture. Layers of guitars, distorted voices, that, just this once, actually mean IT. Intense and totally out there, a choice not for the faint hearted. Inspired more by the writings of William Burroughs, shamanic rituals, ecstasy through commitment in the mighty SOUND, than any band, singer, musician or whatever, out there. Nobody human anyway (so Helios Creed can be mentioned). It was recorded... ( 1 reviews ) Topics: moremars, industrial, noise, experimental

Billy San comes from Israel and presents a varied mixture of experimental ambience. Field recordings, white noise speech patterns, fragile melodies merge into a body of frequencies, which make no distinction between man-made noises and extra-terrestrial signals. These are the home-recorded non-musical excerpts from the reel to reel tapes that have been sitting in the basement for years. Some of these seem to date back to the 1950s, some are as recent as the late 1970s. I've labelled what I've been able to. The quality of these is sub-optimal due to equipment and age of tapes, but I am preserving the tapes. ( 1 reviews )
This recording was made inside the about 100 meters long underground passage allowing access to the Siegessauele monument located at a large crossroads in the middle of Tiergarten in Berlin. During the audition, the tunnel becomes the place of a natural mixing process of several sound sources, redefining the terms of their encounter : The heavy traffic noise from above is attenuated and reverberated, resulting in a continuous and smooth sonic flow. The various sounds of the pedestrians walking... ( 1 reviews ) Topic: field recording

I've basically contact mic'd the upstairs bedrooms and various parts of the house, including various appliances (ones that run day-round) and windows/backyard (for outdoor sounds). the idea was to do a live, real-time mix, processing the sounds of the sleeping family/house, and gradually lifting off...slowly separating to outdoor sounds, then to local radio sounds, longwave...mediumwave...shortwave....then finally to a live radiotelescope feed. the idea is this gradual takeoff from a sleeping... "Robin Storey and Shaun Sandor stopped by to do two improvised sets for Noise and Syrup. Storey, who has long worked as Rapoon, and was a co-founder of legendary outfit Soviet France (zoviet-france), assembles a textured and trance-like collage of ethnic loops, radio samples and various sounds of unknown origins. Sandor performing as Promute performs a sparser combination of improvised metal and synth, with rhythms rising and disappearing again. He also runs the label Blondena... For many years I have been collecting found tapes; primarily voice recordings, audio letters, home karaoke and recordings made by amateur tape recording enthusiasts. I particularly enjoy the unguarded and non-deliberate parts of these recordings when people are testing the equipment or have forgotten its still recording. Almost every recording begins with the ubiquitous: testing, testing, 1,2,3. This one recurring phrase appears in my collection time and time again in an array of different... This began as experiment - to make a non-musical sound collage that was pleasing to the ear. It's a found-sound-collage created with sounds I found at the Freesound Project (www.freesound.org) using the "Random Sound" button. The "non-musical" aspect of the experiment fell out as I worked on it, but that's okay. I wanted the "song" to sound both random and cohesive. You can tell me if I succeeded or not.... ( 1 reviews ) Topics: sound collage, found sound, experiment, noise, collage, freesound project

www.audiogourmet.co.uk AGN022 - HESSIEN 'Broken' EP The muffled voices in the walls and the murmurs behind doors of Hessien continue on "Broken" â the new release on Audio Gourmet. Something of a departure from recently released material, this outing sees a subdued and distant approach to the melancholic side of implied melody.
